Shenzhen AmagicTech Microelectronics Co., Ltd. (AmagicTech) has closed a new multi-million yuan financing round. The round was led by Jackery, the global leader in portable storage, with existing shareholders Sunwoda and Qifu Capital adding to their stakes.
Founded in Shenzhen, AmagicTech is a domestic semiconductor design company focused on lithium-battery safety-management chips and smart-cell sensor solutions. Guided by the mission "Make life safer and greener" and the principle of "innovating beyond rather than replicating substitutes," it aims to redefine the lithium-battery safety paradigm through chip-level innovation, shifting from passive protection to active sensing and from pack-level management to cell-level monitoring.
Proceeds will fund mass production of its intelligent single-cell multi-dimensional monitoring sensor chip MagiCell, capacity expansion of the MagicFETs and MagicAFE product lines, and R&D plus market development for C&I storage and automotive electronics.
Investors: strategic and financial capital combined
The investor lineup spans the full lithium-value chain, from end-brand to cell manufacturing to specialist capital. Sunwoda and Qifu Capital, both prior shareholders, reaffirmed their conviction. Jackery, whose products sell in 100-plus countries, said AmagicTech’s chip solution leads the industry in performance, cost, and reliability, and that the two will deepen cooperation on product definition and market channels. Sunwoda, a top global battery supplier across NEV, consumer, and storage cells, brings scaled application validation, while Qifu Capital noted the company’s defensible niche in chip-level core BMS devices and urgent domestic-substitution demand.
Three core chip families: full-stack sensing to management
AmagicTech’s moat lies in three BMS chip families: MagicFETs power switches, MagicAFE analog front ends, and MagiCell smart-cell sensors, covering power switching, analog front end, and cell-level monitoring.
MagicAFE is among the industry’s most integrated, highest-precision analog front ends. The AMG88/86 series uses an automotive-grade high-voltage BCD process with strong ESD protection, and all sensing pins tolerate 120V-plus to ground and support arbitrary wiring order. Integrating a high-voltage DC-DC Buck and M0-plus MCU, it achieves 1.5 mV voltage accuracy and microvolt-level current sensing with near-zero temperature drift, ideal hardware for accurate LFP pack state-of-charge.
MagiCell is the "wireless nerve ending" of the smart cell. This single-cell multi-dimensional sensor chip performs real-time wireless acquisition and early warning of temperature, voltage, and internal resistance at the cell level, cutting cost 30-70% versus existing schemes while raising performance 50-100%. It marks the leap from pack-level to cell-level management and won the "Chip Fire" Star of the Year award at the 2026 China (Shenzhen) IC Summit, the only winner in the smart-cell sensor category.
Commercialization accelerating
AmagicTech now covers the full 12V-96V voltage range and ships in volume or samples across e-mobility, C&I storage, home, outdoor, and portable storage, and automotive electronics. Six chip products are at various industrialization stages: AMG88xx, 86xx, and 85xx AFEs plus automotive AMG821xx and 851xx are in mass shipment, while AMG823xx and 853xx are taped out or sampling, and next-generation higher-integration products are in design. With Jackery and Sunwoda now strategic shareholders, AmagicTech is poised to enter broader downstream markets.
Market and outlook
Under the global energy-transition and electrification wave, lithium-battery scale keeps growing while safety demands rise, from passive protection to active warning and pack-level to cell-level. AmagicTech’s chip-level entry into BMS core devices positions it at the intersection of domestic substitution and performance upgrade, backed by multiple core patents in BMS power switches, high-precision analog front ends, and cell-level sensing.
